February of 2012 marked the 20th anniversary for Heritage Education Funds International in the Bahamas. This 20-year period has seen phenomenal growth in the marketing of the Heritage International Scholarship Trust Plan throughout the islands. Over the years Heritage has become synonymous with quality service and guaranteed results. This in turn translates into a confidence level amongst our subscribers who not only refer others to Heritage but continue to enrol their offspring into the Plan to prepare for the rising cost of post-secondary education.
This year, current Agency Director, Barbara Major, also celebrates her 20th anniversary with Heritage. In 1992, leaving her one time love affair with the banking industry as an executive, Mrs. Major discovered her true calling when she joined the Heritage team as a sales representative and since then has been impacting the lives of many Bahamian families.
Parents want to provide for their children with more than what they had when theywere children and for thousands of children in the Bahamas that dream is becominga reality. For all children currently enrolled in the Heritage International ScholarshipTrust Plan in Bahamas, close to US $30 million in savings and Educational AssistancePayments (“Scholarships”) will be paid out to help fund their educational pursuits.
“Providing this avenue for parents, grandparents, and other concerned adults to save toward the future higher education of their children has been a passion for me. When I enroll a child in the Heritage Education Savings Plan, there are in fact three beneficiaries—the child, the parent and the nation!”
Barbara Major, Agency Director of Bahamas
